NBN Co’s ATLAS:Wayfinder

User research and data gathering (online surveys, contextual inquiries, interviews and web traffic analysis), product strategy and development, and information architecture (user journeys, use cases, functional specifications and wireframes) of NBN Co’s ‘ATLAS:Wayfinder’, which is a construction app that provides field personnel with up-to-date maps and network asset information on mobile devices.

Online surveys, contextual inquiries, interviews and web traffic analysis were continuously carried out in order to understand key user needs, business requirements and technical constraints. As a result, the strategy plan was under constant review, which encompassed a prioritised feature list (product backlog).

This app is currently in use by Construction Delivery Partners’ field force, and also NBN Co’s Regional Deployment and Regional Workforce. The app supports both Android and iOS.
